Dominic's Beaney - Part 1

Once upon a time there was a little boy called Dominic.
He lived, in a big house, with his mummy, his daddy, and a big fat dog called Chloe.

"Dominic.........It's lunch time" called his mother. "Coming " shouted Dominic as he ran into the Kitchen." I have got some delicious pink fish for you... some trees and potatoes." Said his mummy. Dominic called salmon pink fish and broccoli he called trees!

Like a very good boy...which he was, Dominic ate up all his food." Can I go and play in my sand pit now" "Have you finished you lunch?" asked his mother "Yep" said Dominic. "OK then," said his mummy, "but it's Winter outside so you must put on all your warm clothes". Dominic put on his boots, then his coat, then his scarf, then his hat, then lastly his gloves. " Is this alright?" he said as he spun around doing a little dance. "Yes" smiled his Mum" Off you go but come in if you get cold" " O.K" Said Dominic and with that he went out the back door.

Dominic loved his sand pit. He would spend hours playing in it, making little holes and patterns, and burying his toys. He even made little roads for his toy cars.

"Hahaha" smiled Dominic holding up a small purple tin box he'd just dug up. It was his magic box. It had little gold pictures of the sun, and the moon, and the stars on its top and sides.

Dominic opened the top of the box. Inside was a small picture. It was a picture of a green Dinosaur with big, pink, jelly bean spots! It was Beaney, his secret friend!

Dominic rubbed the picture and suddenly there were stars everywhere and everything seemed to be spinning round and around.

Suddenly Dominic found himself in a big field. The sun was shining and he could smell the warm grass all around him. There was also a humongous green Dinosaur with big pink spots like jelly beans, lying there, fast asleep. She was so big ...... so big, she was even bigger than a bus ora tree, or a house. But even though she was very big, she wasn't frightening. She even smiled in her sleep!

Dominic went up to her big nose, and stood on his tippy tippy toes, and gave her a big kiss and a cuddle.

Beaney opened one eye. She saw Dominic and gave him a big smile. "Hello Dominic" said Beaney, "Hello Beaney " said Dominic. Beaney snuck out her tongue and gave Dominic a big lick. "Yuck " said Dominic " now look what you've done", " I'm soaking!" They both Laughed

Beaney stood up and said, "What shall we do today?"

"Lets go and see Dakdak and Hairy Harry," said Dominic.

"Up you get then," said Beaney and putting her chin on the grass beside Dominic. Dominic then climbed on to her head pulled himself over her ears (which wasn't much fun for Beaney because it is not much fun having your ears pulled) then Beaney lifted up her head and Dominic slid down her neck on to her back. Dominic turned around because he was facing the wrong way, and off they went.

Because Beaney was so tall she could walk very quickly over the fields, and before they knew it they were at the lake in the middle of the forest.

Suddenly they heard "QUARRRRK! QUARRK!" from above, and down swooped Dakdak a huge white duck. "Hi there" shouted Dominic. "Do you want to come for a ride?" said Dakdak. "Ooo Yes" said Dominic jumping on to Dakdak's back.

High, high up in the sky they flew, over the fields and over the trees, Round and round
they even loop the looped! They flew over the rivers and down to the sea up and down
higher
higher

When they finally landed Beaney said, " I don't think you will have time to go to the forest to find Hairy Harry, hadn't you better get home?"

"Yes you're right" said Dominic (because he was missing his mum) and with that took out his magic box. Inside was a picture of his Mummy, his Daddy and his big fat dog. "See ya soon!" Dominic rubbed the picture.

Suddenly there were stars everywhere and swirling colors and flashes like exploding fireworks.

Dominic found himself back in his sand pit.

His mother poked her head out of the door and said "time for a cuddle".

Dominic buried his magic box, back in the sand, and smiled " I'll go and see Beaney and Dakdak and hopefully Hairy tomorrow" he said to himself patting the last bit of sand on top.
And with that went in for a cuddle!
