Make
use of those lonely socks whose partners got eaten in the
wash!!
Puppets are a great way for children to talk about their world
to adults without feeling pressure or embarrassment.
YOU
WILL NEED:
A
Sock
Permanent Marker
Scissors
Felt
Fabric or Craft Glue
Scrap Yarn
Pipe cleaners - to make antlers, horns or antennas if required

Save
a single clean sock, large enough to fit loosely over
a child's hand. |

CHILD
STEP |
Put all craft supplies on a table. |

CHILD
STEP |
Place
hand in sock with thumb and fingers working like a mouth. |

PARENT
STEP |
Mark lightly with a marker - areas for mouth, eyes, nose,
and ears. |

PARENT
STEP |
Cut
ears and mouth from felt and glue in marked areas. |

CHILD
STEP |
Glue
wiggly eyes in place. |

CHILD
STEP |
Use
yarn cut into small strings and glued to sock for hair
or horse's mane. |

Make
antlers, horns, or antennas from pipe cleaners. |

NOTES |
For young children use a black permanent marker not small
pieces such as wiggly eyes or buttons that can remove
and place in their mouths. |
